DR. BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR SAMATA PRATISHTHAN
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Samata Pratishthan is established to carry forward educational, social, and research-oriented activities inspired by the life and work of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Pratishthan operates under the jurisdiction of the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra, Mumbai. Its purpose is to create spaces for learning, research, and community engagement through libraries, study circles, research institutions, and centers of education. The Pratishthan is committed to providing quality education and vocational training, especially to members of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other weaker sections of society.
Core Objectives of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Samata Pratishthan
- To Establish and Develop Educational Facilities: To establish, maintain, administer and develop libraries, study circles, research institutions, centers of education and vocational training for quality learning in various disciplines, particularly for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other weaker sections.
- To Conduct Social Awareness Campaigns: To organize special campaigns for the removal of untouchability and caste-based prejudices and to bring about attitudinal change in society.
- To Organize Events and Functions: To organize functions and events connected with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s life and contributions.
- To Acquire Necessary Infrastructure: To acquire, purchase or otherwise own, lease or hire movable and immovable property including land, buildings, workshops, laboratories, machinery, equipment, furniture, scientific records, experimental data, libraries, plants and related assets.
- To Promote Publications and Research Material: To publish, promote, sell, distribute and display books, pamphlets, periodicals, newspapers, microfilms, photographs, motion pictures, sound recordings and other study and research materials and to provide facilities for audio-visual shows, conferences and exhibitions related to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
- To Preserve Dr. Ambedkar’s Heritage: To obtain, safeguard, and maintain locations connected with the life and legacy of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
