Right To Information
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Samata Pratishthan falls under the complete purview of Right to Information Act, 2005.
The Right to Information Act, 2005 mandates timely responses to citizen requests for government information and establishes a practical framework for ensuring transparency and accountability in public administration. The Government of Maharashtra has undertaken this initiative by providing the RTI Maharashtra Portal, a unified gateway that enables citizens to quickly search for details of Public Information Officers (PIOs), First Appellate Authorities, and access RTI-related disclosures published by various Public Authorities across the state.
The core objective of the Right to Information Act is to empower citizens, promote openness in governance, reduce corruption, and strengthen democratic processes by making the government more accountable. An informed citizenry is better equipped to monitor government functioning and ensure that public authorities operate responsibly and transparently.
The RTI Act represents a significant step towards providing citizens with accessible information under the control of Public Authorities, fostering a culture of transparency and good governance within the Government of Maharashtra.
